On April 18, 2001 The Field Day of all Field Days will be coming to Asheville High School where up to 100 teams of four will compete in 10 different events for $100s in prizes and the chance to MEET CHUCK NORRIS (yes we’re serious – and yes it’s the guy in the picture below) and get VIP passes to The Actions Film Festival final bash Sunday night. All the events are similar to those you experienced in high school, but with a twist. Events include: The OCOA (Obstacle Course of Awesomeness), The Arithmetic Test of Awesomeness, 4-way Tug-A-War, The Ninja (Seriously, how cool is that name?) and Syberian Dodgeball. There will be a live rendition of Queen’s ” We Will Rock You” courtesy of everyone in the stadium and “Olivia Newton John” will help everyone with their warm-up. There’s more, but we might have to kill you if we told you. All proceeds from this event go to upcoming not-for-profit The One Day Project and The Asheville City School Foundation (http://www.acsf.org). If you do not have a team we will make you one. Just show up on the day of the event.
